Helpful Suggestions Sound: This piece has more than an octave range of low G to A. You can find the fingerings here. The first two phrases are marked piano, and the second two phrases are marked mezzo forte. Be sure to make a difference in volume between the two dynamic markings. Rhythm: Your time signature is three-four time, which means that there are three beats in a measure and the quarter note is equal to one beat. Play along with MetronomeBot's talking metronome in triple meter to help yourself maintain a steady tempo and play accurate note values. Melody: A New Day consists of 4, four-measure phrases. All of the notes should be tongued. Harmony: This song is in the key of G major. There is one sharp in the key signature, so be sure to play F sharp. |
