Helpful Suggestions Sound: This piece spans from low G to D. You can find the fingerings here. The piece is marked mezzo forte and then forte. Make sure that the second line is louder than the first line. A fanfare is a triumphant piece of celebration. Play this song with a good, strong tone. Perhaps it will help you to think of the noble lion in the photo above. Even though the piece should be played medium loud and then loud, you should always tongue lightly. Rhythm: Fanfare for a Noble Lion is in four-four time, which means that there are four beats in a measure and the quarter note is equal to one beat. Play along with Talking MetronomeBot in quadruple meter and tap your foot to the beat to maintain a steady tempo. Melody: This piece consists of 4, four-measure phrases. This is the first piece in Lesson 10 that requires you to tongue every note. Tongue lightly and clearly to produce a smooth melodic line.
